“Natural Disasters According To The Red Crescent Archive Documents” a New Book From Our Director Prof. Zekai METE Has Been Published

   In order to introduce the Red Crescent Archives to the researchers Prof. Zekai METE took part in a project with the Prof. Gülfettin ÇELİK, Prof. Recep KARACAKAYA, Prof. Hamdi GENÇ and Assoc Prof. Faruk BAL from Istanbul Medeniyet University. Previously three books named “First World War in the Red Crescent Archive Documents”, “Wars in the Red Crescent Archive Documents: Tripoli, Balkans and the War of Independence”, “Prisoners of War in the Red Crescent Archive Documents” had been published. Now the fourth and final book of this project “Natural Disasters in the Red Crescent Archives” is issued. The new book focuses on the documents that had been selected after intensive study about the earthquakes, floods, fires, landslides, droughts, famines. In the book there are the Ottoman orijinals with the Turkish trancriptions and summaries in English, Turkish and Arabic of the selected documents.
